The Personal Area Network (PAN) that is used for the purpose of Bluetooth is known as the Piconet. Bluetooth that is present at the first position in the Piconet is considered as the master. All the other devices that are present in the electronic gadgets are known as the slaves.

Generally it is considered that all the Piconets are able to have the range of 10 meters. There are also instances of provisions of the Piconets being able to maintain the connection between 100 meters. But for this reason the ideal circumstances are required. There are still many researches going on regarding the development of the Bluetooth technology and thereby the development can also be easily noticed in the devices of Personal Area Network (PAN). There are regular advancement of all the mobile phones and other wireless sets available in the world market and Personal Area Network (PAN) is also getting changed along with them. Personal Area Network (PAN) is also necessary for the downloading technology in the personal computers as well as mobile phones.
